Hi! Welcome, and thanks for checking out the blog. I’m Olivia, the “Liv” part of Liv for Food. This site has been in the works for a long time, so I really hope you like it.


I’ve had a passion for cooking for a long time now, but I’ve had a passion for eating even longer. In my experience, there are very few things that taste (and feel) better than a home-cooked meal. Our biggest holiday gatherings come with buffets of our families’ food; cooking someone’s favorite dish can convince them to stay a while; and even a tiny candy treat can brighten someone’s entire day. Since cooking for yourself and your family usually beats eating out and frozen or fast food in the price and nutrition departments too, why wouldn’t you want to?


Well, cooking can be intimidating, especially to feed a lot of people. But the more time I’ve spent in the kitchen, the less intimidating everything seems. I’m here to show people how to get in their kitchens and cook delicious, do-able meals, so they don’t have to be intimidated by the thought of cooking for themselves or the people around them. We all have to eat all the time, why not make it awesome?


I mostly make videos here, although I’m open to anything you want to see or learn about. You’ll find some of my and my family’s and friends’ favorite foods along with recipes and instructional videos for how to make them. I hope sharing my cooked creations with you inspires you to treat yourself and your family to the home-cooked meal experience.
